Seidler: Mortgage market revived faster than expected in the second half of 2023

Despite high interest rates, interest in mortgages increased by 50 percent in the second half of last year. This was influenced by several factors - adjustments to some of the CNB's income requirements for mortgage applicants, a slight reduction in interest rates, and the effect of deferred demand, where households decided that it was no longer worth waiting for a loan.
